Objectives:
1. To develop the skills necessary to develop
the four standard financial statements for an agricultural firm.
2. To understand the use of cash and accrual
income statements and know how to convert from a cash to an accrual
basis.
3. To develop the skills to analyze financial
statements and make the appropriate application to the management of
the business.
Text:
Handouts and readings will be provided.
Grading:
Grading will be 70% from homework assignments
and 30% from a final exam. Some assignments will be worth more
points depending upon the length of the assignment. Because this is
a 5-week class, most homework will have a quick turnaround.
Homework will be due at 5:00 p.m. on the day appointed. There will
be a 20% reduction in points for each day the homework is late. We
will take time in class to discuss questions regarding the homework
the day it is due.

found in Part 3, Section E-6 of the General Catalog reads:
The assignment of grades and corrections of grades are the sole
prerogative of the instructor and are reported by the instructor
directly to the Registrar’s Office via the UI Faculty Web. All
grades except I and IP are considered final when assigned by an
instructor at the end of a term. An instructor may request a grade
correction when a computational or procedural error occurred in the
original assignment of a grade. No final grade may be revised as a
result of re-examination or the submission of additional work after
the close of the semester
